Eight Nebraska artists were recently selected as recipients of the Nebraska Arts Council’s 2017 Individual Artist Fellowship award in Performing Arts and Filmmaking. This prestigious program recognizes exemplary work by Nebraska artists on a three-year rotation between artistic disciplines: Literature, Performing Arts/Filmmaking and Visual Arts.
This year Jason Fischer and Surreal Media Lab were selected to receive the 2017 Individual Artist Fellowship Grant in Filmmaking. This generous grant will help us grow and keep working on the best that we can be. Recognized alongside other local artists like Dominique Morgan, Tyler White, and Nichol Lazenby to name a few, it’s incredible to think on what can be accomplished.
Film making is very technical and accounting heavy, there will always be production concerns, but bringing in the heart and passion into telling stories and creating threads together with our audiences, our clients, and our friends.
