Everyone Has a Story…

[Some are Legendary]

Ours starts in north Omaha in a rented storage closet in the basement of iconic Leola’s Records and Tapes. Founder, Jason carved out some space amid the stray inventory, bought a desk and a computer, and officially launched Surreal Media Lab. That was 2002.
...
At the time, the industry was at the peak of embracing the indie artist scene, “and I was something of a rarity in Omaha, a black graphic designer, and business owner,” Jason says. “The community really needed me. That’s really what propelled my business and opened a lot of doors.”
...
Jason cut his teeth on album covers and endless print design and flyer work. Occasionally, a client would hire him for a campaign or a website. Backed by an entrenched work ethic, Jason kept at it, building clarity, trust and a growing body of work.
...
Today, Surreal Media Lab counts among its clients some of the most notable names in the region. And even though the agency is located in a nice, ground-level office in midtown, one thing hasn’t changed since our basement/storage closet days: our commitment to meeting our clients’ needs without compromising great creative, always delivering content with REASON.
